As a means of enhancing the public awareness, boosting massive adoption and sustainability and ensuring engagement of 3rd parties, NEMO will perform 2 open calls and embrace new members in the NEMO consortium. SMEs eligible for Horizon Europe may submit proposals, except for the consortium’s beneficiaries and parties that may have conflicts of interest.
Open calls
- The 1st Open Call aims to extend NEMO scope and technology. It will open in M13 (September 2023) and run for 3 full months. Selected projects will start at M19 (March 2024) and run for 18 months. It will invite SMEs active in edge computing, edge and/or cloud native software development, operating systems, IoT/5G networks and IoT manufacturing to join the NEMO consortium by offering a) NEMO meta-architecture extensions, b) software components/plugins not covered by current NEMO implementation plan, c) new network or service/resources metering/automated control components or d) porting NEMO on new, highly heterogeneous IoT devices. The funding for each new participant will be up to 150K€ and it is expected that at least 6 new partners will join the NEMO consortium via this open call.
- The 2nd Open Call aims to validate user acceptance and boost NEMO massive adoption and sustainability. It will open in M22 (June 2024) and run for 3 full months. Selected projects will start at M28 (December 2024) and run for 9 months. The call will invite IoT developers to extend the NEMO use cases and implement innovative IoT apps and services that use heterogeneous IoT and NEMO components to offer new services. The funding for each selected applicant will be up to 90K€ and it is expected that at least 10 SMEs will be funded by NEMO via this open call.
